Working with SERP has shown me how much researchers have to learn from practitioners and from designers. Research findings all by themselves are crucial but limited in changing educational practice. Only when combined with genuine attention to practitioner perspectives and expertise in design and communication does research find its full value. SERP makes the connections among researchers, practitioners, and designers work for the improvement of education.
